Welcome to the COE IT purchasing guidelines page.

If you are in need of acquiring hardware or software for your department, project, or class within the College of Engineering (COE) at Oregon State University, you're in the right place. To streamline the process and ensure compliance with university policies, we have established these purchasing guidelines.

Before purchasing IT related assets for use in The OSU College of Engineering:

  1. Contact COE IT
    • For all hardware or software purchases, please reach out to COE IT at coe.support@oregonstate.edu. Our dedicated team is here to assist you throughout the procurement process. Whether you're looking for specific hardware, software, or technology solutions, we're ready to help.
  2. Let us know what you need
    • When contacting COE IT, please provide details about the hardware or software you require. Let us know your specific needs, including any technical specifications, or special considerations. The more information you provide, the better we can tailor our recommendations to meet your requirements.

We will then:

  • Get quotes and suggestions
    • Once we have a clear understanding of your needs, we will promptly gather quotes and provide you with recommendations.
  • Prepare purchased equipment for desired use case
    • Once the requested assets have been acquired, our team will assist in preparing them for your desired use case. Whether it involves installation, configuration, or integration with existing systems, we will ensure that all prerequisites for deployment have been adressed.

At COE IT, our priority is to support the academic and research endeavors of the College of Engineering community. If you have any questions or require assistance with technology procurement, please don't hesitate to contact us at coe.support@oregonstate.edu. We're here to help you acquire the tools you need to succeed.
