Subject: Perception Researcher Position

I am a graduate student in the MIME department. A robotics competition team I am on has an opening for a perception engineer. Below is the position description. If you can post this on the MIME bulletin I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Perception researcher on OSU/CMU robotics team<https://www.subt-explorer.com/>: Oregon State and Carnegie Mellon University just won<https://www.therobotreport.com/cmu-osu-team-wins-first-event-darpa-subterranean-challenge/> the recent DARPA Subterranean Challenge Tunnel Circuit! We are preparing for the next circuit and are recruiting highly-motivated students to work on our perception sub-team. Possible projects include:

  * Training object detection networks for use on our robots
  * Developing solutions to increase our framerate/efficiency on embedded platforms
  * Multi-sensor fusion for object detection
Prior experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, etc.) is preferred.

Interested in joining our team on a highly visible project? Please contact Bob DeBortoli (debortor at oregonstate.edu<mailto:debortor at oregonstate.edu>)
