Kumo - cloud storage access in computing labs | Information Technology and Computing Support

Kumo (which means both 'cloud' and 'spider' in Japanese) is a piece of software that allows direct access to your cloud storage accounts. It currently supports Box, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive. Kumo treats cloud storage as local drives, making it easier to get to all your data.

1. Go to https://kumo.oregonstate.edu 2. Click 'Set Up'. This will take you to a login page. Login with your ONID email. The format should be:ONIDusername@oregonstate.edu

4. If you aren't logged into your storage provider, you will be prompted to do so. You will then need to approve Kumo's access to your cloud files and folders.

5. After authorization, you will be returned to the Kumo site. A green check mark indicates a successful setup. You can add or remove providers at any time by returning to this site.

6. Kumo is installed on all Engineering computer labs or through our Citrix environment. Detailed instructions on how to set up the Citrix environment are here

7. After the desktop launches, you can open "Computer" and you should see the box.com icon show up as a drive letter.Now you can use your cloud storage just like any other disk drive.
