If you can't find what you are looking for via the links below, or the OSU Portal, you can check out the Academic Software Discounts portal. Just be aware that some of the titles listed there are available for free, or at a better discount from OSU.
Register to download at http://students.autodesk.com
Make an Autodesk account with your OSU ONID email at https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/students-teachers-educators in the same page after you sign in it will walk you through activating your account as a student and then it will let you download the program. Note: It will take a couple of hours for your account to update with the Fusion360 access.
Bentley offers an entire suite of Engineering applications to students, available through their StudentServer online service.
Microstation, InRoads, Soilvision, Synchro Pro, and many other titles is available to all engineering students.
Revu BlueBeam is available to all engineering students
College of Engineering students may request for their personal computers a 1 year license of the following software:

LabVIEW is an instrument interfacing tool developed by National Instruments that is typically used in labs. LabVIEW is available for all engineering students.
MathCAD 15 is available to be purchased with the PTC MathCAD Prime 3.1 bundle from: http://store.ptc.com/OregonState

Students and faculty can use MATLAB in two different ways.
1. Use our Citrix environment to run MATLAB. This is quick and easy and requires no local software. It is recommended for the casual user.
2. OSU has arranged for a site-license for MATLAB that allows students and faculty to install on up to 4 devices. A network connection is not required (no central license server). Click here for instructions.

RoadEng is available to all engineering students
Siemens Digital Industries Software NX (Download requires an ENGR Account)
Siemens NX software is a flexible and powerful integrated solution that helps you deliver better products faster and more efficiently. NX delivers the next generation of design, simulation, and manufacturing solutions that enable companies to realize the value of the digital twin.
This is for Windows computers only.
The program will open a terminal window and install NX for you. Please do not close the terminal window that opens, it will auto-close when install is finished. The installation could take ~20min.
To use NX, you must be connected to OSU's VPN.
StarCCM+ is a single interface multidisciplinary simulation tool that is typically used on engineering windows desktops but is available to all engineering students.

We have a very limited 20 seat license for this tool. Students are required to return the license when their coursework requiring use of this product is complete.

If you need VMware, Workstation and Fusion is now available free for personal use. This edition is similar to the paid license, but without customer support or commercial use rights.

Note: If you have an Apple silicon (ARM architecture) based Mac you may need ARM specific versions of OSes. If you are just looking to run software such as Visual Studio, it is highly recommended that you use Citrix instead of setting up VMs. Windows for ARM is not available via Azure Dev Tools, only through the Microsoft Insider Preview Program.
